It’s Back! lululemon SeaWheeze Gear and Races

Lululemon is nothing if not innovative and unique in their approach to athletes and athletic gear. Every August lululemon releases a limited edition line of Seawheeze clothing that sells fast and athletes love to sport. The line is out for 2021 and is better than ever in appearance and performance.

New this year, the brand has launched the SeaWheeze Virtual Half Marathon and 10K, which you can sign up for now.

The SeaWheeze Virtual Half Marathon and 10K begins and ends based on each runner’s local time zone. You have from September 18 to September 26 to complete your 21.1km (13.1 miles) or 10km (6.3 miles) in a single effort. Cost to sign up is $5 and 100% of entry funds raised will be distributed to three Non-profit organizations through lululemon’s social impact program, Here to Be. The organizations are Back on My Feet, Black Men Run, and Girls on the Run. Here to Be is lululemon’s social impact program. Together with their program partners, they disrupt inequity through movement, mindfulness, and advocacy.

The (virtual) doors are officially open and once-a-year-gear just dropped. Visit the SeaWheeze pop-up store now for never-before-seen prints and patterns.

I, like most Chicago athletes, LOVE lululemon for it’s style and fit. This year’s SeaWheeze is right on par with the high level of performance we have come to expect from the brand.

Now, I have not found a piece of lululemon that I don’t like, but the leggings are my absolute favorite for fall running. These leggings do not sag in the crotch! I have run countless races where I spend the entire time tugging at my leggings to pull them back and becoming angry with the leggings and myself for wearing them! Lululemon has several options that not only stay put, but look good while doing so.

Fast and Free High-Rise Crop 23″

Designed for running, these leggings are 100% pure running freedom. The Fast and Free collection, powered by Nulux™ fabric, is about unrestricted movement and incredibly lightweight coverage that passes the squat test. This fabric is weightless, breathable, and sweat-wicking, especially important as the weather cools down in Chicago. Sweat in cooler temperatures can be a real issue for runners and this material wicks the sweat and dries quickly to help avoid any temperature issues while running.

Fast and Free High-Rise Tight 25″ Nulux

These leggings offer the same performance benefits as the 23″ version above but are intended to sit above the ankle for runners who prefer a longer length. Lululemon strives to make options available for runners of all sizes, with all different preferences.

Sculpt Tank Top Cropped

Designed for running and training, this lightweight cropped tank has mesh fabric panels for breathability in sweaty situations. With a four way stretch and added Lycra® fibre for stretch and shape retention, this top literally moves with you as you pump your elbows to make it up inclines. The cropped length allows for the fabric to float as you move, avoiding the clinginess that can happen with some material types.

As the weather cools and you start facing your longer runs, treat yourself to a fall workout wear makeover and check out lulu’s latest styles. Also, make sure to sign up for the Seawheeze Half and 10K and go get those miles.
