Taking advantage of warmer weather and neighboring rooftop views, Equinox will once again host outdoor Sunrise Yoga and Barre classes on the roof of Hotel Lincoln, starting July 8.

For the next four weeks, Equinox members and non-members can take yoga classes on the J. Parker rooftop at Hotel Lincoln (1816 N. Clark), just one block north of the club’s Lincoln Park location. Classes take place from 7-8 a.m. and will feature different sequences each week, including Deep Flow Vinyasa, Power Flow, Yoga For Athletes and Balance & Strength. Chrissy Gonzalez, a yoga instructor at Equinox, FFC and Namaskar Yoga, will lead Sunrise Yoga.

In August, rooftop workouts will change from yoga to barre. The classes, which also take place from 7-8 a.m. on Wednesdays, feature total body workouts that use ballet movements and isometric training to build strength and tone. Karem Tonsy and select Equinox team members will teach Sunrise Barre.

Both Sunrise Yoga and Sunrise Barre cost $10 for Equinox members and $20 for non-members. Hotel Lincoln guests can take the classes at no cost.

Equinox Lincoln Park will also host its Summer Camp outdoor boot camp once again this summer, with classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7 a.m. Session 1, from July 7-30 and Session 2 from Aug. 4-27, both feature one-hour high-intensity classes that combine cardio and strength training led by Anthony Fleming III. Summer Camp costs $100 for Equinox members and $250 for non-members, and Session 2 registration opens next week.
