The cooler temps over the last two days have reminded me that fall is right around the corner. While some may equate fall with football, many of us equate the season with marathons. After next weekend’s unofficial end of summer, fall marathon season will officially be here.
For 40,000 plus of us, we will be gearing up for the Chicago Marathon on Sunday, October 8th. Tracksmith is a set ahead of us, as they usually tend to be with their performance-centered clothing, and have released their Chicago Marathon line of clothing.
“Each of the major marathons offers a unique opportunity for community, celebration and – of course – fast racing. As the countdown continues to the 2023 fall majors, we’re introducing our commemorative Marathon Collections in new collectible designs. Shop Berlin, Chicago and New York City online now and visit us at our store in New York and pop-ups in Chicago and Berlin to shop these styles and other race-weekend exclusives in person.” Tracksmith
While we don’t yet know all of the details of the Chicago pop-ups, we do know what the Chicago line looks like and can’t wait for you to see it. You can order the collection online now and gear up your training in these eye-catching duds.
This year’s style incorporates our Chicago spirit with a fast-racing foundation to outfit runners in a stylish and distance-supportive fit.
The Chicago racing singlet is cut from an ultra-lightweight, breathable and quick-drying open air mesh with sublimated details to ensure nothing weighs you down. Featuring a mix of blue hues and our statement-making 2023 race graphic, this is a top built for a race you’ll never forget.
I personally can’t get enough of Tracksmith’s singlet, which is perfect for races in heat, rain, and wind. This race kit is completed by the Chicago racing shorts, which are cut from an ultra-lightweight, soft and moisture-wicking mesh in a fast and flattering silhouette. There are THREE, yes, three pockets to store keys, fuel, and anything else you think you may need on race day.
I expect to see this racing kit on race day in October filling the streets of Chicago so order yours today to ensure you get your size. They will run out so be early on this. I’d also suggest wearing the outfit for some of your longer runs and in all types of weather because as we know, the Chicago Marathon can be anything from rain to snow to extreme heat. And most likely, wind.
This collection is completed by a short sleeve and long sleeve for race day, both of which are in the same eye-catching design, which so aptly connects with the roots of Chicago speed.
If you are a hat-wearing runner, or if you are planning for the post-run hair mess, you can even grab the Chicago hat to bring the outfit together. When I finish marathons, my hair is inevitably soaked with sweat, water, and Gatorade…yes, I drink like a toddler without a sippy cup as I cruise through the aid stations.
This amazing collection is out now for you to grab while it’s hot. Check out the Tracksmith website for their full collection of racing and training gear, as well as their fall marathon collection. And, keep your eyes peeled for the lineup of Tracksmith sponsored Chicago Marathon events.
