Strava, the popular app and website that allows runners and cyclists to track and analyze their data while connecting you with others doing the same, recently added training plans for runners to its Premium membership offerings. The plans, designed for those training for 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons or marathons, come from coaches at McMillan Running.
“Greg McMillan has been raising the standard for coaching since 2002 and is one of the most insightful distance coaches in the U.S.,” Strava run marketing manager Larissa Rivers said in a press release. “His coaching staff, which includes multiple Olympians, has unrivaled experience. As part of our commitment to runners, Strava is pleased to join forces with the McMillan team to help athletes stay motivated, improve and have fun.”
Those who use the training programs will receive plans designed to help them reach their specific goals for a certain distance based on previous experience and number of weekly workouts. Strava sends athletes their daily workouts via email, and users can review data from each workout after completion using Strava’s Workout Analysis feature.
