Thanksgiving has become the most popular day of the year for road races, and the Chicago area calendar certainly shows that to be true. With more than a dozen races taking place in the city and suburbs on Thanksgiving, you have plenty of ways to get in some exercise before settling in for Thanksgiving dinner. If you’d prefer to wait, Thanksgiving-themed races continue later this weekend as well. These family-friendly events feature varying distances and often support a charitable cause as well.
