Leon’s introduces the first “MyFloat Wave” for beginner triathletes
Have you ever wanted to try a triathlon, but uncertain that you could complete the swim? You might have completed the distance in the pool, but in a triathlon such as Leon’s Triathlon, there are no walls to have a rest and there are no lane lines to guide you and other swimmers in a straight line! So a special wave has been added to this amazing event to help anyone take the ‘plunge.
“The MyFloat Wave” – all entrants into this category will be required to carry an inflatable MyFloat buoy attached to their waist, furnished by MyFloat. The MyFloat buoy is an inflatable dry bag. Representatives will be onsite all weekend to help provide MyFloats for the clinic the event and for training to follow! The MyFloat Wave will be a sprint distance event. Competitors in this category will receive finishers medals and t-shirts, but will not be eligible for age group awards (USA Triathlon regulations).
Leon’s Triathlon will be the first triathlon to ever roll out this special category and it is our hopes that other races will follow with similar “MyFloat categories”, to help more people get introduced to this great sport of triathlon.
