These moves are in lock-step the increased participation in cycling and active sports, as well as multi-channel consumer behavior.
The retail expansion of the Wilmette, IL location is nearly a 50% increase in the retail space and will include a full professional Bike Fitting Studio and aComputrainer studio for training through the winter months, along with increased space for the latest in cycling and accessories.
Digital Strategy and Higher Gear Consumer Community
Higher Gear has nearly doubled in sales under the new ownership that acquired the business in 2009. The digital strategy of the business has been evolving over the past five years and is a core part of the go-to-market effort for Higher Gear. The new multi-channel expansion of the business will include a full online shopping experience, showcasing over 5,000 different cycling products where customers can research and purchase at any time of the day.
