If you’ve grown bored of your summer workout routine, Equinox recently introduced two new classes to its group fitness schedule, designed to help you build strength and elevate your heart rate to help you stay in shape through the second half of summer.
Ropes and Rowers, available at all four area Equinox locations, combines the use of water rowers and battle ropes in an HIIT-style circuit involving teamwork and individual drills to get the most out of class. Those seeking a competitive outlet to accompany their workout can participate in each class’s Brag Board, which encourages class attendees track progress from session to session and show off their accomplishments.
Equinox members at the club’s Gold Coast, Lincoln Park and Highland Park locations can enjoy a new lower body workout in Best Butt Ever, which, as the name implies, focuses primarily on glute strength. The class utilizes loop bands, gliding discs and heavy dumbbells to help participants develop definition and also includes a cardio aspect with high step platforms.
