The Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA) delivers a one-of-a kind training experience along Chicago’s scenic Lakefront with the 10th annual Ready to Run 20 Miler event. The run is a fully supported event that simulates a full marathon experience. As runners prepare for fall marathons, such as the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, the Ready to Run 20 Miler acts as a training tool to help runners gauge their progress.
Along the path over 3,000 participants will run beside Chicago’s history; including the Lincoln Park Zoo, Navy Pier, Grant Park, Shedd Aquarium, Soldier Field, McCormick Place, Museum of Scienceand Industry and many of Chicago’s best beaches and harbors!
