The 15th Annual Chicago Half Marathon and 13.1 Marathon have teamed up to create the Windy City 26.2 Challenge. Runners who participate in the challenge will receive exclusive benefits, including a Windy City 26.2 Challenge medal. Those who complete both will be recognized as Windy City 26.2 Challenge finishers, and the top three male and female finishers with the combined best times from both races will receive awards.
13.1 Chicago occurs on June 4. The race begins and ends at the South Shore Cultural Center and runs past many Chicago attractions, including Jackson Park, the Osaka Japanese Garden and the Museum of Science and Industry.
The 15th Annual Chicago Half Marathon will take place on Sept. 11 along the south side of the lakeshore, with nearly ten miles of the course taking runners right next to Lake Michigan. The race was also recently chosen to be one of the Runner's World Challenge races for 2011.
