I am more familiar with the women runners and all of the contestants are phenomenal. However, Kristen Heckert dominated every other girl on that list this year and I think she should get the award because of it. But I also think Kate DeProsperis should have gotten Athlete of the Year last year for being the only Chicago area female to qualify for the Olympic Trials (Christina O had already moved to Portland and even she didn't win). | |
